1. Home Energy Audit

A certified Energy Smart Inc. specialist in building science and renewable energy will thoroughly inspect over twenty home systems, including heating and cooling; insulation and air leaks; causes of indoor air pollution, including mold and mildew; water quality, and energy efficiency of appliances, lighting, and more.

2. Personalized GreenUP Report:

After diagnostic testing is complete, our technicians will deliver a written report that details your home’s performance and sets goals for its optimal efficiency and health. The GreenUP Report will specifically identify sources of potential toxicity, such as moisture seepage or carbon monoxide leaks, and pinpoint problem areas of wasted energy, such as appliances, poor sealing and insulation, and bottlenecks in your home’s heat flow. Using our many years of industry experience and our proprietary analytic tools, we set goals for your home’s healthy air and water quality and energy efficiency, and during the Performance Retrofit, we will meet or exceed these goals.

Note that the Home Energy Audit and the Personalized GreenUP Report are standalone services-for-hire designed to educate the homeowner, and there is no obligation to move forward with any proposed green energy remodeling or improvements.

3. Green Energy Remodeling

Once we’ve set goals to improve your home’s energy drains and pollutants, our highly skilled contractors get to work putting these solutions in place. Energy Smart Inc. offers a wide range of construction and implementation services, from strategic fans to whole-house air HEPA filtration systems. We crawl into the smallest of spaces, including attics and basements, to seal ducts and pipes and tightly insulate, and we will replace leaky windows when necessary. In-house water filtration systems are no problem, sifting out sediment and other harsh chemicals from drinking water, and we identify and correct sources of damaging moisture throughout. We replace old appliances with efficient Energy Star and gas-powered machines whenever possible. Skylight additions or retrofitted lighting systems will help cut unnecessary energy use. And to maximize efficiency, we can also install a full suite of solar photovoltaic systems and wind turbines.
