Loose-fill fiberglass is made from fine glass fibers, just like fiberglass batt insulation. Like cellulose insulation, “shredded” fiberglass is typically installed in attics, using a blower. Although it has a slightly lower R-value than cellulose, it fills the cavity and suppresses air movement. It is sprayed at 24% moisture content, but because the fiberglass does not absorb moisture, it dries quickly.

The inorganic powdered adhesive, when water activated, bonds the fibers together creating a blanket of insulation in side wall applications. It eliminates gaps and voids, and reduces any loss of heat. significant reduction of air movement within the walls will mean a reduction of water vapour in the wall as well. An added bonus to filling in any gaps or spaces in your insulation is that you can increase your noise control.
